Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. Psalm 91:14-16 The following is a parable that I recently heard and would like to share it with you: " There was an old donkey that fell deep in to a well. The owner heard the donkey struggling and tried to come up with a way to get him out, but could not find a way. The owner decided he would just fill the well in with dirt, therefore, burying the donkey and putting him out of his misery. As the dirt was shoveled in over the donkey, a thought suddenly came to the old donkey. "When the dirt hits my back, I'll just shake it off and step up on it." So with each shovel full of dirt that hit that donkeys back he shook it off and took another step up higher, eventually getting to safety at the top of the well." Everytime something unpleasant comes your way that has the potentiol to bury you, Shake it off , call on God and take another step upward. The way that we respond to any given situation is what can make us or break us. God always provides a way, a higher ground solution. He may or may not send angels to intervene, but one thing for certain, if we call on Him, He will give us the insight we need in order to choose the right response in any given situation. He will deliver us up on to higher ground. |
