***Discovering “CPR for the Spirit” came at a time when I truly felt my spirit needed reviving. Suffering from severe panic disorder, when I visited the blog, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace that I had not felt in many years. It gave me comfort from my home and a sense of direction toward God and His promises that when I call His name, that he is there to offer me hope from the anxieties brought on from a fallen world. I am truly grateful to be able to return to a place where His word is explained to me in a way I understand; a place where I can receive moments of peace and joy.

***Have you ever received a gift from someone and were not sure you would use it? One of my friends, who I admire a lot, mentioned to me several times that she felt Shelli and I were supposed to meet. When “calling Shelli” made its way to the top of my task list, I asked her if she would like to meet for lunch. Sharing a meal with her that day became a flowering gift that continues to blossom and bless me daily. After Shelli shared some of her outstanding stories with me, I immediately knew that more people should be given the opportunity to hear about Shelli’s beautiful journey with our Lord. Even though over 6,000 people visited her site in one year (from countries she has never heard of) without any advertising, I so wanted more people to experience her calm voice, beautiful smile, incredible insights that they may also have the opportunity to ask questions/discuss issues. By the end of our lunch, I tenaciously requested that she do a presentation at my office. Later that week I was happy to hear that God was pressing her heart to do this, so we set the date, put the information on both of our websites and in my weekly newsletter. When the day came, she beautifully relayed message after message with her journals stacked a yard high beside her, I will never forget how she blessed the special people (and me) who attended her first presentation. Today, attendees still mention the beautiful experience to me. Since then, I had the honor of going to Shelli’s church to hear her speak. Yes, her pastor asked her to speak one Sunday when he had to be out of town. Her inspiring words once again touched my heart. I look forward to God giving me hugs through Shelli’s daily Delights. It feels as though she and God are speaking directly to me about what is going on in my life each day. They surprise me with insights, joy and love. I love and admire Shelli! I thank her deep from my heart for her “yes” to our God and then agreeing to spread the good news to all of us. Yes, the gift I received from my friend who asked me to meet Shelli has been an outstanding blessing in my life!

***wow, the “delights” from you and God, touch my heart. It is so funny … last night at my group, I expressed how I deeply wished I could change faster than it seems to take me. Then I get His message a few minutes ago that He delights in me even though I am not making progress more quickly. Then to know He will quiet this voice that causes me to be so dissatisfied with myself AND He will rejoice over me with SINGING. I am ready to join David with lyre and harp. I am filled with so much joy and gratitude.
