About Unexpected Delights
"Unexpected Delights" are around every corner, some are quite blatant while others are subtle. Often we are just in too big of a hurry to notice. "Unexpected Delights" was conceived after being still and recognizing through the art of journaling over the past few years that the Lord loves to delight us. Several journals have turned into a book titled "Unexpected Delights" that will be published in the future and will be available in the Garden Of Delights Boutique. The book comes with a challenge that I will share now in hopes that every individual who sees this page accepts the two part challenge. First, delight someone today. Do something kind and totally unexpected... Also, delight yourself in the Lord by setting aside some time to do as He instructs us in Psalm 46:10 "Be STILL and KNOW that I AM GOD" . You will be delighted. When we take the focus off ourselves and do something Unexpected for others, the Lord pours rivers of great joy into our hearts and lives. Spending quiet time with the creator always yields a delight, "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart" Psalm 37:4. I often stand in awe wondering what else He could possibly do to delight me, and He always comes through with something else too grand to contain.
"The Garden Gate Inn" is one of those Unexpected Delights... The vision is that it will be an on line virtual Bed & Breakfast retreat center for women. A place of peace where the spirit can rest and be fed. Seeds will be planted and God's garden will continue to grow for His Glory. This is a faith based entity dedicated to the work of Christ by reaching out to women across the world. We stand firm on Ephesians 4:2,3 which instructs us to "Be completely HUMBLE and GENTLE; be PATIENT, bearing with one another in LOVE. Make EVERY EFFORT to keep the UNITY of the SPIRIT through the bond of PEACE."
Please know that I am dedicated to being used as a tool in God's all powerful hand to delight and bless those he sends this way. It is my prayer that the
"Unexpected Delights" Family continues to grow like the tree in Psalms 1:3 that is planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not whither and whatever he does prospers.
May we be firmly rooted and grounded in God's word so that we may provide spiritual fruit to all whom He sends to sit in our spiritual shade.
